Among the first galleries to establish the Chelsea art district in New York, Leslie Tonkonow Artworks + Projects opened in 1997. Working with a diverse international group of artists and estates, the gallery has long been committed to important but under-exposed artists who emerged in the 1960s and 1970s and to nurturing the careers of younger artists.
