Luhring Augustine is pleased to host exhibitions across all three of our New York gallery locations:

The inaugural exhibition at Luhring Augustine Tribeca (17 White Street, New York, NY) is the first U.S. solo show of the late London-based, Brazilian-born Lucia Nogueira (1950-1998). Primarily centered on haunting and minimal sculptures and installations, Nogueira’s compelling multidisciplinary practice also incorporated drawing and video. On view September 12 – October 31, 2020, the exhibition is accompanied by a digital catalogue.

On view September 12 – October 24, 2020 at Luhring Augustine Chelsea (531 West 24th Street, New York, NY) is the gallery’s first solo show with the revered photographer Lee Friedlander. The presentation will highlight Friedlander’s Western Landscapes (2016), along with a smaller selection from the rarely exhibited bodies of work Dressing Up: Fashion Week NYC (2015) and Chain Link (2017), and choice photographs from America by Car (2010).

Luhring Augustine Bushwick (25 Knickerbocker Avenue, Brooklyn, NY) will host The Pleasure Pavilion: a series of three-week long installations that will bring together seven artists from the gallery program in dialogue with the façade of a 19th century Indian pleasure pavilion. Beginning September 17, 2020 with an installation by Pipilotti Rist, successive presentations by Philip Taaffe, Jason Moran, Zarina, Salman Toor, Tomm El-Saieh, and Ragnar Kjartansson will follow through February 20, 2021.
